Q: What is Bluebell Newsreel?
A: Bluebell Newsreel is a dedicated monthly TV programme tailor-made for the Bluebell Railway. You can view the programmes on you computer any time you like.
Q: How do I watch the programmes?
A: You need to subscribe to Bluebell Newsreel. Subscription is £20 per annum for Bluebell Railway Preservation Society members and £25 per annum for non members. We recommend you use the latest version of Windows Media Player to view the videos. You can download Windows Media 11 now by clicking HERE
Q: The video doesn't play immediately. What should I do?
A: You are welcome to download the video to your computer. Simply click the text below each viewer to start the download. Please specify Windows Media Player to open the file.
Q: Who makes the programmes?
A: The programmes are produced by Rail TV Ltd. To find out more about Rail TV Ltd please click this link: www.railtv.co.uk
Q: How many programmes are there going to be?
A: We'll be adding a new programme every month. You'll always have access to all the content on the site (when you subscribe) and you'll be able to view the Bluebell Years on the website.
Q: How long are the programmes?
A: The programmes will always last at least ten minutes. Some programmes will run longer and will be divided into ten minute parts for easy viewing on your computer.
Q: I like the programmes can I buy them on DVD?
A: Yes. The Bluebell Years is already available on DVD and you can buy it right here.DVD
Q: Where does my money go?
A: At least half of the cover price of the DVDs and £10 (members) and £15 (non members) per subscription goes straight to the Bluebell Railway. The rest goes to cover the cost of producing the programmes and maintaining the web service.
Q: How much does the Bluebell have to pay for this service?
A: Nothing! Rail TV Ltd covers all the production costs.
Q: The web page loads but the video won’t play.
A: Please be patient. It takes a short time for the video to load and start playing.
